Kings Head Canter

LOAD: 25

2km WU @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

5km @ 5k Pace (RPE: 8)

2km CD @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

Not really a PB course with kilometres 2, 3 and 4 all gentle uphill before a downhill finish. A great event though with a lovely atmosphere at the finish. It’s a point to point so plan where you are going to park.

No targets here as it’s not a goal race. But what I will say is you come into this race in peak shape, so confidence should be high. So stand on that start line and own it. Give it a good shot and see what happens. Very best of luck.

Was going for an easy ish one wish Sam still full of lurgy (MV40 here we come) but seeing Lewis catching Steven Hoath in the distance meant I knew I had an opportunity to reel them in. I pulled past them both at 4.5k and had stomach issues and had to let them back past. Felt great until then, but really enjoyed the day. Beer and food at the end as always was epic (you and Jax were missed by the way) Positive run and feeling good although that may be the beer talking 🤣

So glad this went well and you had a fantastic day. Very unlucky about the stomach as would have been nice to beat them both. Jax is finding it tough missing out on these races and that’s the reason we weren’t there in truth. I do understand it must be tough for her, hoping that she will be back running again soon. I’ll be running Battle, Rye Ancient and Rye to Hastings though in the build up to Chester so you’ll be sick of me come October 5th 😂 Great running Paul!!
