Plan 2 – Week 16

  • 25th August 2025

Bit of a strange week in all honesty. Was good on the track on Tuesday and feeling very strong, kept it extremely comfortable Wednesday and Friday. Then Saturday morning just couldn’t get going. Ended up pacing 6:20 a mile. Still over ten miles done on Saturday, but was frustrated so done the group long on Sunday, kept it easy 8:30 a mile and it flew by. Felt like 120 minutes of pure bliss. Mileage is slowly creeping up and starting to notice slight improvements. But Saturday it just didn’t click.

Well done Jack. That’s cool about the Sunday run. As I said, for me, enjoyment has to be the main focus of these plans. It’s a hobby after all. Then comes the PBs and fitness gains. The two go hand in hand in truth, but if there’s a time you want to run and it’s not in the schedule, just say and we can always find a solution. Glad you are feeling strong and banking some solid mileage too. Good to be on top form and running well ahead of the some pretty big races in the next month or so.
