Plan 2 – Week 4

  • 25th August 2025

Disappointed not to of completed Sundays session, just didn’t have the last rep in me, kind of gave up once the lactate built up. Every rep was difficult but did manage to hit all reps at goal pace.

Feel I’m ok at short reps but the longer ones I seem to be struggling, we may need to adjust our paces/goal times in the future. No issues with base building miles.

No injury issues

SUMMARY

  • Week: 🙄 Not quite good enough
  • Plan: 🙄 Not hitting my targets
  • Pts: ✅ Yes, it feels right

INJURIES/NIGGLES 🚑

None

COACH

I wouldn’t be too disappointed at this stage of the plan. Were this 4-5 weeks out from a goal half marathon then it would be time to worry. If anything I sprung this session on your too early, and I take the blame for that and why the last 2 miles weren’t achievable on this occasion. But hopefully the fact you know I’m a coach that will accept mistakes and make changes to ensure you do stay on track is a positive and at the end of the day if we reach that main goal come the Spring, all these little tweaks are a good thing. I’ve shared a link to one of my other runners. CLICK HERE to view Paul’s Strava. I feel like you and Paul are at a similar level and he’s achieved so much with me. Currently chasing a sub 3 in 5 weeks time and if his session last week was anything to go by he should achieve it. I feel like you’re going along well, the only thing missing as been some race times to really see the progress, but we’ve got the Ashford 10k coming, so hopefully that will give us a good idea where you’re at.
