COACH

We had the long run (115 mins Monday), the efforts (hills on Tuesday) and a 5K PB on Friday. So whilst you fell a few points short of target, that’s a pretty special week given you were moving house. So we have to be pleased. I like the idea of pushing hard in the Rye Ancient as well. You’re running really well right now, so why not take advantage of that. Go off quick as the first stile which is quite near the start can be a real pain and hold up, so I would be setting off on the road under 4:30s per km, just to get ahead, then once you get past that bottleneck you can then ease back. Anything between 5:00-6:00 per km depending on the section you’re running is good pace on that course.
