parkrun

LOAD: 30

10 Mins WU @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)
8 x 100 metre Strides (RPE: 8)

parkrun @ 5km Pace (RPE: 8)

10 Mins CD @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

Running with others can reduce perceived effort so parkrun is a good option as an alternative speed session. 10 mins easy WU & CD please.

RPE

🙄 Just a fraction slow

PACE

Ran a relatively flat route for parkrun today, it’s one I normally avoid (haven’t done town moor parkrun since 2017!) as it’s not the most exciting and can be very open to the elements if the weather is bad. It was nice today so I thought it would be a good one for an effort. I was hoping for sub 34, I seem to have lost a few seconds in the second mile somewhere. But I guess I have done a lot of miles this week with the gnr only being last Sunday.

Well done Sarah. A decent time though and if the effort was high you will have made more progress. As you say if we were really chasing a fast 5k you’d come into it fresher as well, so that will have factored it in. But a really good time and lots to be positive about here. Really feel like you’re getting back on track at just the right time which is fantastic.
