Plan 2 – Week 18

  • 8th - 14th September

I didn’t miss any sessions but I’d have have liked to have a better go at a faster 5k, but obviously the weather and the traffic stopped that!

Opted for the AC session as I told they had a tempo run and hills u u unfortunately 12 minute tempo wasn’t as beneficial as I’d have hope but the hills definitely were!

I know I’m getting fitter and the next week half marathon session is the tester!

COACH

Yes you fell a bit short of the targets this week, but it’s important that we appreciate that was no fault of your own. I think the AC Tuesday sessions are now a little lighter than previously (25 mins rather than 30). Thursdays session, again possibly a little short in terms of target points and parkrun, well that was just bad luck. But for me, this data we are now collecting is priceless going forward and allows us to react with the plan. That will ensure when you have a few weeks that fall a touch short we can make amends and hence why I’ve added a bit extra onto Thursdays run. So in the long run there will no effect on your progress because we’ll be constantly adapting the schedule based on this new information.
