120 Mins

LOAD: 36

120 Mins @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

Long runs are a crucial part of any plan. You’ll need to do these to improve. Again running with a group can really help. Be sure to hydrate and fuel.

😁 Good pace given the conditions/route

Well, as you well know the 120 minutes bit never happened and to be honest the 27.50 bit was a close run thing 😂 I struggled with enthusiasm somewhat but given only 231 people completed Parkrunthis morning and I was one of them then I take that as a positive 😊 Talk about a run of 2 halves though! I started off trying to stay with you and Michelle but soon realised it just wasn’t going to happen and after the turn I just concentrated on getting to the finish and collecting as much water as possible o; the way 😂😂 This week was one of those weeks when it didn’t quite go to plan and hopefully will make next week a lot more exciting and successful.🤞

Yeah I think at this stage of your training it’s important not to overthink things. This was always going to be a training plan where we just got back to running, so the odd low week is not an issue right now. It was great to see you down there and on Sunday as that was a nice surprise and very much appreciated. Every Monday gives us a new opportunities as runners, so we can simply forget what has happened the week before and go again. It’s the best mindset to have.
