90 Mins

LOAD: 27

90 Mins @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

Keep this nice and easy. Focus on good form & efficient running economy. RPE should be around the 3/10 which means you can run and chat.

I felt really sick on the way back home from Berlin last night. Bad stomach all night and that horrible nausea that just sits there not making it’s mind off. I was meant to be going to work but last minute decided to take the day off. Sarah and Luc are training for the half and I thought do you know what rather than sit home feeling sorry for myself let’s get out. That’s the first time for a while my stomach has been bad during a run and I was popping antacids the whole way along. I didn’t strap my ankles either which is the first time in ages! They were starting to get niggling from mile 5 but not more than a 5 at most and only off and on. It wasn’t one of my most enjoyable runs but I’m glad I got it done. It was definitely a good decision to move things around I reckon and the plan is now to do my efforts on Friday. I totally forgot I’ve got rye to Hastings on Sunday as well 🤦🏻

Glad you were able to take the day off and smart move to change up the plan. Sorry to hear you’ve not been feeling great either and just hope you are able to recover soon. It’s not right that you get these issues though and it’s so upsetting to hear about the constant struggles on runs. I wish I was able to offer some better advice that would find a solution. I know Claire Thomas suffered from a dodgy stomach, more IBS I think and she paid to see a nutritionist who really helped her and did blood test and what not. Something to do with the wrong gut bacteria and gave her lots of stuff to take which helped. But whether that’s the same issue you are experiencing I’m not sure.
