Plan 1 – Week 13

Very happy with how this week went – was able to get most of the sessions complete, and hit good paces in the workouts.

No injury issues

INJURIES/NIGGLES πŸš‘

Slight tightness in right glute at the start of the session last Saturday (20 Sep), but seemed to have worked through by the end of the session.

COACH

Quality week Jamie. Those 2 sessions you smashed and ultimately that’s the most important thing in terms of our progress. I have problems with my glute and not caused by running. They are caused by sitting for too long and poor posture. I normally run Friday evenings but now I’m tapering I didn’t have a run last Friday so spend the day mainly in my computer chair on then on the sofa. Went to stand up at 9pm and my glute was agony, 8/10 pain. Stayed that way until the morning. First few steps of my parkrun warm up where again very uncomfortable but as I’ve come to experience the running helps it. So whilst most people would have just gone “No, that ain’t happening”, I hobbled my way around the gardens for a few minutes and was soon good to go. Something to bear in mind if the glute pain does crop up from time to time.
