Plan 5 – Week 11

Two sessions the days after a tough race doesn’t work for me, I need to rest, so I did. Felt better for it.

Busy week for me but glad I got 3 runs in, not all of them great but I got them done and am looking forward to HHM – not sure my head is in the right place with all the house distractions.

In hindsight there have been times I’ve not adjusted plans enough post races, but I think the problem occurs when we race too often. You’ve had a lot going on the last few months to be fair but have maintained a good level of fitness and produced some excellent results. The year overall has been a huge success. If there’s one thing you/we could do better is a long term plan for the whole of 2026, targeting key races, perhaps being a bit more selective with other events and having a couple of down spells to recover. I think that would help with the schedule and the training next year.
