Plan 5 – Week 15

  • Sep 21-27

The pounds have been creeping up the last few weeks annoyingly, for me the only that works is fasting so I’ll only eat between 11-6 which is fine when I’m doing evening sessions but was an eye opener this week when it came to recovery as I was taking a long time to stop feeling the effects of each session. This really hit on the long run Friday. I did eat that morning, I’m not totally stupid and knew I needed some kind fuel in me but I think I was just knackered from a full on few days as I’d done something Tuesday,- Friday and also suddenly eating something in the morning after a week of not just hit me and I felt dizzy and sick for the first time in ages.

I need to look how I can combine this so I feel better for this week as actually although the recovery has been tough and Friday was tough I was getting it done and not too badly!

Glad I ticked off another week though!

I bought new off-roads for the ultra that I hadn’t tried out yet so that was the plan Friday. They felt ok, a bit of an issue with the ankles about mile 7 but I’m normally getting niggles by mile 5 anyway so didn’t think that was too bad.

Just like I say the recovery this week, every part of my body has been aching at some point this week πŸ˜…

Sounds like a bit of an experiment in terms of the fuelling. As I say I’m not going to get too involved with providing nutrition advice as it’s not my area of expertise and appreciate everyone reacts differently. But good to try new things and well done for a solid week.
