Plan 1 – Week 14

Hey Simon – so had a bit of a mare, I thought I’d def booked both 10k and Bedgebury together but in fact forgot to do either…. Didn’t have enough time to go back home, get card and get cash so had to abandon feeling somewhat deflated.

Have been feeling a bit mentally scrambled for a few weeks so not total surprise to be fair!

So – have booked onto Bexhill half 8th Nov (def, receipt and everything πŸ˜‚), which to be fair is flatter so more chance of pb, so if we tweak towards that? On a waiting list for bedgbury but looking unlikely. Taking my noggin into account, can we keep things as they are this week maybe add s&c, but what can do is at least do half marathon distance on Sunday even if not at bedgebury? Just to keep less faffy? Might take advantage of it still being dry and run back from Rye through woods or something. Unless of course a different session would be better.

Going forward,Β  would like to do pier to pier next year, wasn’t quite ready this year, def a half in March – aiming for Rome on weekend of 2nd, which means can also do Hastings at end of March. I am going to book on that trail marathon in Brighton too so good goal for April.

Happy if you want to add an S&C session in as well this week. I’ll put in the plan. Sunday up to you, with the weather the trails will be nice so a good opportunity to get out there and make the most of conditions before they turn and could put in a decent effort. I’ll get to work on the new plan this week and plenty of races in there that we can work towards, so thank you for that. I think given the few disruptions there have been, you’re still running really well and that excites me. Another 3-4 months of consistent training and you could be in excellent shape come the Spring. I saw a You Tube video from a trail runner I follow who mentioned to Brighton Trail half joins on with the full marathon and finishes in the same place which is pretty cool. Definitely add to the experience of that one.
