Plan 3 – Week 22

  • Oct 6-12

Good week. Really happy completing my 1st ultra. I walked the hills and just ran when I could. Got chatting to other runners that I saw a few times. I know you wasnt keen on me running on sunday. Totally understand your worries, as I definitely dont want to pick up an injury. I was only going to do it as a stretch out if my legs felt good. I had no intentions of going quick. But once I started I just got into a rythem and kept it going. Luckily ive had no issues legs are all good and I feel fine. Dont worry im not planning to do it again though!!

COACH

Really pleased the week went so well. I know I sound like a nag sometimes but on this occasion it was the potential calorie deficit which concerned me. I’ve seen some really nasty injuries on social media which have come out of the blue and that’s what I always worry about. But I’m glad it went ok and the fact you then rested Monday and didn’t do efforts Tuesday will have helped. It’s been another fantastic year and I see no reason with some smart training over the winter why we can’t continue to make further gains into 2026. Fantastic running Lindsey.
