Bedgebury Half Marathon

LOAD: 66

10 Mins WU @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

13.1 Miles @ HM Pace (RPE: 5-8)

More elevation than HHM according to the route. CLICK HERE to view the course.

It’s two laps and appears to be 3 hills each one, not to mention an extra climb at the end of the race.

FEEDBACK

ENJOYMENT

RPE

😁 Good pace given the conditions/route

PACE

Loved it 😊 tough being a 2 lap course with the hills which I feel were 4 x by twice 🙈🥵 ran the whole thing with Pete. We chatted when I could 😂 which wasn’t often ! But I just ran it to enjoy. No pressure but pushed hard where I could but those hills got me I’m not going to lie. Slowed me down BUT honestly I just thought of it as good training in the bag today. Beautiful route too which was great. Sunday long run in the bag for the week, just with a lovely medal at the end 😊

Such a good attitude to have and takes away a lot of the pressure beforehand. Really pleased you enjoyed it. I think also this is actually something you can try and utilise for the big races in the build up. It’s much harder to do, but will help you relax and sleep better. It worked really well for before my marathon when I just kept telling myself I was just going out for a jog. Helped me relax, help me sleep really well. It’s amazing what a relaxed mindset can do. Anyhow, that’s for another day, really well done here Michelle and glad you enjoyed it so much.
