parkrun

LOAD: 30

10 Mins WU @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)
8 x 100 metre Strides (RPE: 8)

parkrun @ 5km Pace (RPE: 8)

10 Mins CD @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

Running with others can reduce perceived effort so parkrun is a good option as an alternative speed session. 10 mins easy WU & CD please.

FEEDBACK

ENJOYMENT

RPE

😬 Too fast

PACE

Went off too quick. Struggled a bit mentally on way back in terms of maintaining effort. Am giving myself a max of 1 more attempt at sub 20 (off plan), but completely dependant on weather and how i feel

Honestly we can always squeeze it in when need be as I can tweak the plan. As we discussed, if you’re right on the limit, if the pacer goes off at 3:53 for the first km, as Jack did, you’re going to struggle. That’s obviously 19:25 pace and it was into the wind. But I love the fact that even when you knew the sub 20 was off the cards, you kept pushing, that’s fantastic and you rewarded for that determination with a new PB. So you should be really pleased with yourself. Great running Matt. Hope the Guinness tasted sweet.
