3 x 20 Mins (MP)

LOAD: 48

20 Mins @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)
20 Mins @ Marathon Pace (RPE: 5)
x 3

A good opportunity to practice some marathon pace on your long run. Crucial if you have a time in mind. Also sometimes a good option to add some variety to a normal 2 hour long run.

FEEDBACK

ENJOYMENT

RPE

😁 Good pace given the conditions/route

PACE

It was a bit tricky to keep the right pace but I’ve done okay till I fell over. It’s still sore and hard to move smoothly but it should be okay soon. Otherwise I enjoyed it and we were lucky with weather! .

Yeah on that route I can appreciate the pace would fluctuate a bit. Whilst I like running with the group, for my big half marathon sessions I did run on my own, simply because it’s then easier to focus on the right pace and pick a more suitable route. So when the time comes it might be better to run marathon sessions solo. I really hope you recover soon. Knee knocks like that can stiffen up and take a while for your mobility to come back. But given you’re travelling this week it makes sense to have a big of a break.
