Plan 7 – Week 1

Not the best week for me. Pulled out of efforts before the end of the session and had the worst race ever at Beachy head. Was a definite should I even be running week.

Better after a night’s kip though. But I am not doing any long distances for a while!

It was horrendous during beachy and made me have to stop on Tuesdays efforts.

SUMMARY

COACH

A bit harsh on yourself to go with “complete write off”. I’d only use that if you missed every run. You’ve just done a marathon. Granted it sucked, but you did it. I’m sure there would have been a time in your life where the thought of running a marathon would be madness. But I agree, time to reset a little and hopefully find some solutions going forward. Nice Work seem to be pretty good these days at deferring races, so if you don’t feel ready I would recommend that. I’m looking like I might have to do the same as I’m still fucked from my marathon πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ Try not to be too hard on yourself though cos running the ultras and marathons you have is still pretty bad ass!!
