It’s approaching 3 months since my 3 day stint in a real job and I’m now super exciting about the future of PB Runner and Team Orange.
I’ve been dividing my time between the coaching and my old business but this weekend, with the addition of two more runners I now have the confidence to commit more time to this venture and hopefully it will continue to grow.
I will spend a few hours on my old business as the income certainly supports the growth of Team Orange, but my main focus now will be helping my runners and trying to improve my coaching knowledge to offer a better service.
At the weekend two new members signed up and I shall have more details to follow. We are closing in on a team of 20 which is amazing! There will be a limit of which I’m yet to determine but I will make sure the current level of service is maintained.
Thank you to all of those currently on a training plan for supporting me on this journey. Your feedback has been great and I believe the service I’m currently offering is good value for money. I’ve no intention of changing that right now.
I will be releasing some merchandise very soon and Tuesday’s effort sessions will take place each week now during the summer months so they are other ways you can support PB Runner should you wish to.
It’s been a great week of running for the Team with 10 taking part in the superbly organised (#justsaying) handicap race. Below are the times in the order you crossed the line.
Kate Lewis 26:12 PB
Jan Young 25:43
Sue Alabaster 30:05
Fleur Record-Smith 21:10
Jacqueline Scott 27:05 PB
Shana Burchett 28:53
Sue Mann 33:45
Andy Alabaster 23:42
Mark Dunn 34:11
Marie Crawford 27:49
At the weekend several made the tip to Romney Marsh to take on the 10k. A big congratulations to Fleur Record who was the third female home and won her age category.
Alison Anderson proudly rocked race number 1 to come home in well under an hour.
Jacqueline and I made the trip to London Village to watch the Diamond League Athletics. It was a wonderful experience, and one I would highly recommend to anyone for next year. Just be prepared for a lot of people crammed into small spaces if you travel up on the day.
Keep spreading the love. If you see or hear of anyone struggling with their running then you know which direction to point them in. This is a wonderful hobby which can have a huge positive impact on our physical and mental health. To be able to play a part in helping people achieve those gains is a extremely rewarding.
Thank you for reading!
