10K Race

LOAD: 45

2km WU @ Easy Pace (RPE: 2)

10km @ 10km Pace (RPE: 6-8)

2km CD @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

Pacing is everything when it comes to a 10k race. The first half of the race should feel controlled and then you’ll really have to dig deep as the RPE rises. Try and maintain consistent splits throughout. If the route is undulating be sure to do your homework so you know when the hills are coming and how long they will last.

FEEDBACK

ENJOYMENT

RPE

👊 Nailed my target

PACE

As per plan, eased off on the hills and made up some time going down. Felt strong throughout, felt like I should have pushed a little harder. Good race and something to work with. We go again. Had more to give at the end. Just looking at Sundays session and I have mote park half.

If I’m right you were only 20 seconds off you 10k PB and sounds like had you pushed harder you would have achieved that, which is a really positive sign. Awesome running Adam. I’ll get the half added into the plan, sorry if you did mention that and I missed it.
