Long Run – 120 Mins

LOAD: 350

120 Mins @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3-5)

2 hours is a long time to run and it’s likely it will get tough in the last 30 mins. So dig deep, focus on good form and keep going. You got this!

Again, no need to push the pace here. Run at a comfortable speed where you feel your RPE is around the 3-4. We certainly don’t need to be running close to 13 miles in these runs, save that for later in the plan when the half marathon sessions roll around.

Average pace I think was spot on at 10.11 min miles

Absolutely loved this run 🏃‍♀️ chose this flat route simply because it was such a beautiful day and I’ve hardly see the sunshine being at work most of the week. I think it went really well, I slipped under pace a few times and had to slow it down but I think I done that ok. I was running on tired legs in the last couple of miles but I dug deep to keep going for the 2hrs 😊 I took a drink and gel’s with me as it was so warm and I definitely think this worked so well for me.

This sounds perfect and exactly what you want from a 2 hour long run. For the most part the effort should feel controlled, but the final few miles will always feel tough, especially on the legs. Really glad you enjoyed it and were able to get some sunshine. Fantastic work Michelle.
