Long Run – 120 Mins

120 Mins @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3-5)

2 hours is a long time to run and it’s likely it will get tough in the last 30 mins. So dig deep, focus on good form and keep going. You got this!

Slow it down if you can. The Hastings 5 Miler starts at 10am and we’ll be tearing up and down Hastings seafront, so if you did want to make the long run more interesting, perhaps a jog over Hastings way at that time of day. Albeit it will be busy in parts.

Struggling with these longer runs, I can’t slow the pace other than through fatigue, & mentally its a challenge to see beyond the hr, without a clear goal. Ran 10.76k in 59:42, so 5:33k’s. That was one loop, the second was beyond me.

Hopefully getting you involved with Paul’s Sunday group will make all the difference. If 90 mins is enough to begin with then stick with that and we can progress slowly. But appreciate the honest feedback as that does help.
