Long Run – 120 Mins

LOAD: 35

120 Mins @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3-5)

2 hours is a long time to run and it’s likely it will get tough in the last 30 mins. So dig deep, focus on good form and keep going. You got this!

There might be the odd day that the mind says, what’s the point? I’ve got an op coming up, I’ll be out for 6 weeks. When it fact that makes it even more important to keep up the training now so the recovery is as short as possible and you can get back to action sooner rather than later.

I thought we might have been in for a soaking on this one but no, it turned out to be a pretty ok run apart from the very last bit into the wind. A really good route that had a bit of everything and made a nice change to the Old Town – Seafront option. It was nice to do some trails that we didn’t get muddy on as well. Definitely one that needs to be repeated at some time in the future.

I agree. Really enjoyed that route. A bit of everything. I might look to explore a few more trails on Sunday mornings going forward. It was nice to run at a leisurely pace too without looking at my watch all the time. You looked to be running strong and nice to have a group which was well bunched together throughout.
