10K Race

LOAD: 41

2km WU @ Easy Pace (RPE: 2)

10km @ 10km Pace (RPE: 6-8)

2km CD @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

Pacing is everything when it comes to a 10k race. The first half of the race should feel controlled and then you’ll really have to dig deep as the RPE rises. Try and maintain consistent splits throughout. If the route is undulating be sure to do your homework so you know when the hills are coming and how long they will last.

Hopefully just a fun weekend for all of you heading up for this one. Should be a great event. Very best of luck. If you can give it a good effort that will have the best training effect.

FEEDBACK

ENJOYMENT

RPE

🙄 Just a fraction slow

PACE

Fab time with the gang, we never planned to race it, so just kept to a steady pace and stayed together until the last few minutes, I stuck with Lou to the end, a bit worried at times with her asthma/chest. Wasn’t as hot at the start as we thought . GREAT time, highly recommend, all booked for next year! 1:06:45 pace 10:36/mile

Sounds like you all had a great day which is so pleasing to hear. That’s what running is all about right? Having that fitness so you can go out and enjoy a run like this with friends and not feel like your about to pass out. Well done Su!! Sounds like a great event from the feedback I’ve had.
