120 Mins @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

Long runs are a crucial part of any plan. You’ll need to do these to improve. Again running with a group can really help. Be sure to hydrate and fuel.

😁 Good pace given the conditions/route

PACE

This was one of my favourite long run experiences, took the group on the Hastings half route – Queensway but with battle road instead. Focused on saying take the 1st half really easy with the hills, keep the effort level and pace down and in the second half you’ll feel great. Each and every one of the group ran well and a negative split half marathon. Didn’t even feel liked we’d run!

Isn’t it great when you have a run like this. We tend to focus on our PBs and race times but improved fitness has so many more benefits than that. The ability to be able to run a half marathon at a decent pace and feel really strong is one of those benefits.
