150 Mins

LOAD: 45

150 Mins @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

All about time on feet. Don’t focus on pace. Instead keep that effort level down and concentrate on good running economy. Fuelling and hydration key too.

3 weeks until the Amble. I can’t wait, not sure my legs are as excited.

Got up and out nice and early and ran with Sarah Stewart as she had 14 miles on her plan. It was quite a hilly route but we walked up most of this hills. We were both feeling heavy legged and tired. Stuck with it and got the time on my feet in.

I think when your training for an ultra, walking up some of the worst of the hills isn’t that bad an idea in truth. Seeing it as strategic as well is important, that’s what it is. As you say, time on feet was the goal here and job done in that sense, so really well done Alice. Lovely to run with company too.
