A real opportunity to work on both speed and good running economy. Train faster to race faster. Love 200s. Go get ’em!

👊 Nailed my target

PACE

This was very very tough. Started of feeling quite tired during the warm up. Was difficult to find the target pace in the first interval and thought “there’s no way I’ll get through 16 of these” to begin with. Also considered stopping early a couple of times as it felt hard and seemed an unachievable amount of repeats, but dug in and pushed through it (unlike last week) and managed to knock the reps off one by one! Super proud of myself for completing it afterwards and even more so that I hit the target paces 😁

Love this. A good lesson here. All about 1 rep, or 1 km at a time, this highlights that. You got quicker as this session went on and ended up running really well and smashing the session. Imagine how you would feel today if you’d quit. The difference is huge and that’s why in those tough moments we dig deep, not because it’s enjoyable in those moments, but because everything that comes with it, the feeling of self pride, the buzz we get for the next 24 hours, the kudos on Strava. All that is worth those few minutes of discomfort. Excellent running Andy. I’m really happy with this one.
