120 Mins

LOAD: 36

120 Mins @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

Long runs are a crucial part of any plan. You’ll need to do these to improve. Again running with a group can really help. Be sure to hydrate and fuel.

😁 Good pace given the conditions/route

I wanted to get out on the Thursday before I left but my little one wasn’t having it, I was already leaving her for the weekend so I felt a bit guilty to go out for two hours too. Probably for the best as I was up at 3 to catch a plane so as an alternative I packed my running shoes and despite the miles and miles we’ve been walking I managed to fit in two 30+ minute runs. I went out both times with one of my friends that doesn’t run, she kept saying about not going too fast but ended up shooting off so it I was quite funny that an easy run we kept up a good pace. I felt good. A bit tired today coz we done like 12 miles yesterday on our feet! But I felt strong. Much much better than I have been.

So pleased to hear this and well done for getting some runs in whilst you away. Loving the positivity too. Some really strong runners never do more than 60 mins you know. So perhaps a spell of shorter runs, mixed in with quality intervals might work wonders for you. We’ll discuss that after the Ultra. Well done Kelly.
