Another TRC inspired running channel which apparently was the reason one of their presenters got their marathon time down from 3:40 to sub 3:00 🤔 Hopefully it has the same effect for you.

When I had counselling back in 2018, she gave me some tasks that pushed me out of my comfort zone. One of them actually involved going up to this women I had spotted in the gym (I was single at the time) and starting a conversation with her. Given it was a task as such, it made it a little bit less horrendous and I actually did it. I still can’t believe I did. I don’t want to make you too uncomfortable or push you to do things that you don’t want to. But equally I think sometimes it can be a good thing and the suggestion here (if available) is to join my gang in the park on Tuesday for this session. Don’t worry you don’t have to chat to any strange men. It’s actually a session you run at your own pace and start the reps at different times, so that might help. Plus if there is any anxiety I’m there to help. As I say if it’s too soon, a solo session is fine, but as well as helping you with your running, I’d love to help you become a more confident person and do things that perhaps in the past may have caused you anxiety. Because 7 years on from my counselling, some of the things she said to me are still in my head and give me confidence. So I’ll finish this by reminding you what a good runner you are and there will be a lot of people slower than you on Tuesday evening. Hope to see you there (6:15-7:30) PS. If you want me to shut up and just set sessions, I can do that too 🤦‍♂️😂
