2 x 5km

LOAD: 36

2km WU @ Easy Pace (RPE: 2)

5K @ Half Marathon Pace (RPE: 6)
5K @ 10K Pace (RPE: 7)

2km CD @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

Quality session this. One you can combine with parkrun if you wanted, to make the 10k segment feel easier.

FEEDBACK

ENJOYMENT

RPE

😁 Good pace given the conditions/route

PACE

The heat beat me today. 5km @ HM pace felt comfortable, but when I switched up to 10km pace, it was very tough. Managed just 2km @ 10km pace. Felt really down first of all, as it hasn’t been a great week, with Bewl not really going to plan, then not completing my S&C on Tuesday. However, I then remembered that this time last year I was going through a really tough time. Splitting up with Emily, sleeping in my car, drinking…so putting things into perspective, things are actually ok. Hoping for a decent park run on Saturday to give me a bit of a boost

I think it’s normal to be disappointed at first. But really important to put things in perspective and realise how far you have come. Ideally we want to be hitting these sessions each week, but in these conditions, you’re not the only one that has struggled. I’ll drop you a message as we can still make up for missed few kms later in the week.
