A big half marathon session. Important to find that goal pace in training and this session replicates the race well with the RPE increasing with each interval.

😁 Good pace given the conditions/route

PACE

This was interesting , warmed up felt really good first two miles then turned up into a horrific headwind which killed the pace, after the first 5k stopped composed and went again for two miles the headwind and had died down, then had the mile float and was bang on pace for the Parkrun, kept myself warm whilst barcode scanning and went again for two miles. I wasn’t going to let this session beat me this time. Then had a mile cool down. Only issue was the stops in between but sometimes they can’t be helped and it helped with running on tired legs!

Awesome work and thanks for pacing. It’s worth having the stops to include parkrun as part of the session in my opinion. The biggest compliment I can pay is when I ran with you, you looked like you were cruising along and still able to offer encouragement so clearly that’s a pace that you’ve comfortable with, albeit you’ll need to dig deep at the end to keep it going. But another great sign you’re in top form right now.
