20 x 200 Metres

LOAD: 240

2km WU @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

200 Metres @ Target Times (RPE: 9)
60 Sec Recovery
x 20

2km CD @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

A real opportunity to work on both speed and good running economy. Train faster to race faster.

This is scheduled for Thursday in the plan but the Team are doing it Tuesday in the park if you wanted to join us? We just use that lower loop. Paul is likely to be there. It might get a little crowded at times but would be nice to join the gang and show them how it’s done 😉 As I’ve said to Paul & Sam D, you’re training for much longer distances, so we don’t need to be eye balls out here, just keep it consistent and work on good form.

ENJOYMENT

Enjoyed that tbh. 22 reps done and felt good for it too. Definitely felt easier that the last time I done this session which is a great sign. Was nice to be in the group too. All reps were within a second of each other too so pretty happy with that.

Brilliant running Steve, so impressive and glad you felt strong. I never quite know how you’ll find running in a group and whether it’s a hinderance or not. So pleased you enjoyed it too. I know it’s great for the others to be able to watch you tear round. Another really strong session banked. That consistency is always the key and to be that close on each rep is superb. I was super pissed I ran a few of mine 2 seconds over target and got really angry with myself for one which was 3 seconds over (42 seconds). So those targets are úsefúl.
