A good opportunity to practice some marathon pace on your long run. Crucial if you have a time in mind. Also sometimes a good option to add some variety to a normal 2 hour long run.

Just a bit of variety in the long run. Can break it up nicely.

🤬 Way off pace today

PACE

Massive fail on the pace changes; too fast on the downhill, too slow on the up. Only part that was anywhere near pace was Parkrun!! Still 2 hrs on feet. Additional session on Sunday – long swim at Rye Watersports. About a mile and a half – please with that.

Well done Sue. To be honest I wouldn’t worry too much about the pacing, hills will always make it tricky to be consistent. I had a look back at some recent long runs and this ended up faster than them all, so it kind of had the desired effect. Plus the extra swim means you’ve had a really good week. About 128pts which is excellent and shows the fitness is really good right now.
