A big half marathon session. Important to find that goal pace in training and this session replicates the race well with the RPE increasing with each interval.

Makes sense to combine this with parkrun to try and make that last block easier.

😁 Good pace given the conditions/route

PACE

For some reason, really struggled this morning, didn’t do the second 5k but realised sometimes we have those days, so put my focus into the Parkrun and hitting the 6:20 a mile, spot on. Just over ten miles done this morning. Not particularly over the moon with the session as I have more. But couldn’t reach it this morning. We tick this off and go again! Take the positives off two good 5ks and then focus on what I can improve.

I’ve noticed a few have been struggling with “cumulative fatigue”, those who have been training for 16 weeks plus. So going forward I’m going to limit plans to 16 weeks to avoid this. Just so happens this is week 16 in this plan so perhaps that could explain it? It is a recovery week though, so a slightly lighter load is fine and hitting the pace for 10km is still a positive.
