30 Mins Easy

LOAD: 60

30 Mins @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

Sometimes a 30 minute shake out can help recovery or just give you some much needed head space. Keep it easy.

Just a little shake out run to keep the legs active ahead of Sunday.

I had to change this and bring it forwards from Thursday to tonight as I’m working on a training day in Ashford tomorrow. I wish I had waited and left it until maybe Friday night or Saturday but also wanted a few days rest before Sunday. I felt a little drained tonight my legs were empty and what should have been effortless was tough for a 5km. I didn’t eat enough today either which I know was not good. Going to write that run off tonight 🥲 can’t always be a good one I know !

Well done Michelle. There’s a notion called the “Rule of Thirds” when it comes to running, whether it’s true or not I’m not 100% sure. But it states a third of our runs will feel great, a third will just feel ok, but a third will feel tough or horrible. So once we embrace that and know those runs happen quite often, we can just move on and accept there will be better runs ahead.
