The biggest mistake we can make with these recovery runs is running too fast. This will mean when our harder sessions come round we are still fatigued and not able to put enough effort in to make the necessary gains.

It was an ok effort, given the heat and 9 miles prior to this wandering around Rome. You would love the river side, cyclists and runners only ( and a few police, stopping anyone toppless!)All flat and a bit shaded by the time I ran. 1hr completed.

That sounds so cool. Just had to look it up to check it out. Lovely to have that space. I know other cities who have put in special running tracks, it’s such a great idea. Really well done for getting out there Su. Nice to be able to run somewhere else, but appreciate it’s not always easy on holiday especially after lots of walking.
