40 Mins & Strides

LOAD: 16

40 Mins @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

8 x 100 metre Strides (RPE: 8)
60 Second Recoveries

Keep the 40 mins easy and don’t forget those strides. Without them you won’t improve and will full short of your weekly targets.

PACE

Was really enjoying this one up until I took a tumble. It was a trail run and I went over a tree root, even though I was thinking to make sure I don’t trip over these roots. Felt really good up until that point and had even ran all the way up all the hills. Just a couple of bruised and grazed knees, seem to have hurt my shoulder and arm more, I think it is just from the way I fell.

Oh crikey, sorry to hear that. It can be quite scary when you take a fall and can knock your confidence a little. It happens to everyone though, most of the team seem to have fallen at some stage, I’ve had one nasty one and one inconspicuous one to date. Hopefully the bumps and bruises sort themselves out soon.
