The only real mistake you can make here is going too fast. Try and pick a flat route as well. Hills will push that RPE too high.

Easy runs in the weeks you have the kids will generally be shorter so time isn’t so much an issue.

Well done Adam. Don’t be afraid some days if feeling tired just to drop the pace. The main goal of these is always to keep the effort low. So if that meant dropping to 8 min miles to keep the HR down, then that’s a good thing. Same applies the other way, if you feel good and the HR is super low, you can always push the pace a little.
