45 Minute Tempo (HM)

LOAD: 310

45 Mins @ Half Marathon Pace (RPE: 6)

The pace for this time should feel fairly comfortable and give you a nice confidence boost ahead of race day that the early stages will be enjoyable.

I did this session the week before the Paddock Wood Half and whilst the pace felt quick at times and like I was working hard I found on race day with others around it was so much easier. So if you can hold the pace in training the week before a race, then on race day it should feel easier.

Done. Went inland to avoid the wind. Changed my route to avoid having to come back up the hill from the harrow inn but then meant I had to wind my way around so maintaining a rhythm was hard. Worked really hard to hit pace and was actually quicker than target pace!! Knackered but chuffed! Off for a beach dog walk then a nap!!

Fabulous work. Really good to get some half marathon pace in at this stage of the plan and a nice little confidence booster ahead of Budapest. Well done Rebecca.
