5 x 1 Mile On/Off

LOAD: 430

1 Mile WU @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

1 Mile @ Half Marathon Pace (RPE: 5-8)
1 Mile @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)
x 5

A good session to replace your long run or 10 miler. Each rep will get progressively tougher in terms of RPE. Dig deep in the last few.

Cheeky little session to end the week. Hopefully HM pace for you right now is quite comfortable. This also breaks down the long run into 1 mile at a time.

Tried to do every other mile a bit faster, hard to do on a hilly route, and I worried about completing the distance. Got it done in the wind and rain with no stopping. Haven’t had a LR feel so good in a long time. Very pleased. Oh and I switched Saturdays training with Sundays as have plans with the family this weekend. Hope that’s ok

This is great. Really well done Lou. And hopefully some early signs the consistency and getting that pace right are starting to make a difference. It’s so nice when you feel strong on a run like this and to get out there in though conditions is also character building. It’s always fine if you need to switch sessions around, and yes, let me know. That helps.
