1.25 Mile CD @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

A challenging session as holding goal pace for 1 mile can be tough, but it builds up your endurance and mental strength.

Just a few weeks until the 5 miler so we want a couple of focused session. The idea here is simple. Try and get as close to target pace as possible here. No need to push beyond target pace, just keep it consistent. Good luck.

Felt good once I got out the door. Pretty warm for an effort session but the body coped and the knee was better than it has been. Had a slightly longer recovery after mile 3 owing to a toilet stop. Otherwise splits were pretty spot on given I ran to feel instead of watching the watch.

In that heat, that’s quality pace. It was a bit toasty out there today. Good to get a big session like this ahead of a race, something you can look back on for confidence when standing on the start line. Pleased to hear the knee is improving as well. Fantastic effort Paul.
