5k Time Trial

LOAD: 26

2km WU @ Easy Pace (RPE: 2)

5k @ 5K Pace (RPE: 6-9)

2km CD @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

Sometimes it’s good to do a 5k time trial in training just to see where the fitness is at. Parkrun is a good alternative but I appreciate that’s not an option for everyone.

FIRLE 5K HANDICAP! Ignore the title and session. I don’t have a separate page for some races yet (site still a work in progress). Just go and have some fun with this one, work hard but no pressure or expectations. I hope it’s a good one.

FEEDBACK

ENJOYMENT

RPE

😁 Good pace given the conditions/route

PACE

A tough course, with over 250 ft of elevation, which was tough, but I just told myself that it was hill training! Really good fun, with a great bunch of runners, and it’s always good to see Nick Brown. I was gutted about how he left the club last year, as he’s a good guy. Firle was a beautiful setting for this. You were up on the downs, as we were at the foot of them!

So pleased you enjoyed this. It’s brilliant when you can get a hard session in as part of an event and really enjoy it. Yeah I’ve got a lot of time for Nick and he gave up so much time for the club, hopefully he’ll feel in a year or two he can return and help out in some way. Awesome running Joe. The Amble was brilliant by the way. Probably be the first thing on my calendar every year going forward. SDW50 when I’m 50 (4 years time) is on my radar now.
