5K On/Off

LOAD: 340

2km WU @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

1km @ 10k Pace (RPE: 7)
1km @ Marathon Pace (RPE: 5)
x 5

2km CD @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

A good opportunity to run 10k with half of the session at goal pace. The other half will be around marathon pace. This will build confidence and get you used to running at your goal race pace.

Two midweek sessions, I know we don’t normally do that and if it’s too much just let me know. You could switch this to Friday to give yourself extra rest after the Ramp Up.

Ran up to Sandhurst pitch for this one (missing the trails) It made the session a little harder but that’s good kept to the 10k pace pretty well I think, done the marathon pace a little bit quicker, just couldn’t seem to slow down that much felt pretty strong for it too. Nice double session week 👌

So impressive, to hit those paces on that surface, it’s not easy. But good idea as it reduces that impact. Awesome running Steve and yes a really strong week with the two sessions ticked off already.
