A good chance to get some miles in at goal pace. Adds some variety to your long run as well.

FEEDBACK

ENJOYMENT

RPE

👊 Nailed my target

PACE

Said to myself last night I wanted to run the efforts at 7.15 pace. WU with a couple of friends. Then I pushed on and got it done. First 3 miles felt controlled. Miles 4 and 5 I was working a little. Last mile had to dig deep. Stopped after the last mile to catch my breath, have a drink and then I jogged back to the car. Pretty pleased my efforts especially with still carrying this bug.

I like that, setting a stronger target to aim for and having that clear in your mind. Sounds like the perfect effort level too. Where those first few are controlled but then you needed to work hard. Basically that will be similar with all these sessions, they never get easier, we just get faster. But having that understanding that the early reps are actually quite comfortable can make a big difference to our mindset. Great work Dan. Really strong running that.
