60 Min Easy Run

LOAD: 150

60 Mins @ Easy Pace (RPE: 2-3)

Keep the effort level to around 3 or 4 on the RPE scale. Focus on good form and don’t get lazy. Often the best run of the week 😁

Easy week in the build up to Sunday’s race!

Done. Easy pace but not easy but done anyway. (Didn’t sleep well last night, and was awake early so went down to the prom. That way I would only be 15 minutes from the car and could get a bus back if I had any issues. Given how local the cafe run was, I did want to go but knowing the terrain if I had any issues it was going to be a long walk back. Saw you guys coming up the road off Barley Lane towards the Helipad/ country park area). Looked like a good group).

Well done Rebecca. Good choice by you today. It was a fun run, and would be ok for your 60 mins easy. But it was a bit of a muddle in terms of planning as they made the route up as they went, which meant quite a bit of stopping and hanging around. I don’t mind that as a one off but were it a weekly run it would drive me nuts. It’s something HR are known for on some of their easy runs and it can often lead to regression. So just something to bear in mind. My suggestion would therefore probably join them once every 2-3 weeks, just to keep things fresh, but without losing any fitness as a result. Try not to worry about Sunday either. Last year there were lots of people taking 3 hours plus, one lady, even took 5 hours. So if you’re not feeling your best, you would still be ok. I just didn’t want you feel like you would be too slow, because that just won’t be a factor at all.
