Aside from a little bit of expected soreness (mainly the soles of my feet) I felt pretty good plodding today. Tried to just switch off and relax which isn’t something I’ve been able to do for a long time. Definitely not something I thought I’d be able to say first run after a 30k. Let’s see what tomorrow brings

Exactly, that shows a decent recovery. Apart from Lindsey, I know the others in the team who ran Sunday took some time to recover from that one, me included. It highlights your fitness levels but also your strength now and was actually a real test for the glute, so great that you’ve come through that without any real issues. Glad you enjoyed this too. I can find the 60 min runs can be a little uninspiring these days. Well done Alice.
