60 Min Easy Run

LOAD: 150

60 Mins @ Easy Pace (RPE: 2-3)

Keep the effort level to around 3 or 4 on the RPE scale. Focus on good form and don’t get lazy. Often the best run of the week ๐Ÿ˜

No need for Strides this week as we did some quicker pace in the interval session. Steve’s group an option here if you wanted.

An easy run has been done, first a few laps of the park on my own then with Steve’s gang. Have to admit, I felt very weary. I’ve done myself no favours by Googling about my condition (SSC) as it said somewhere you could feel tired. Nonsense – I’ve been feeling very energetic up until now and feeling very positive about my running. But words can get inside your head, just like the ones planted by that b***** local cardiologist so I’m trying to bat away any negative thoughts along those lines. I had good reason to feel tired today because of the preceding 3 very strenuous days. I’m planning to have a good rest tomorrow and run the easy, sociable hash on Sunday. I wish I knew when my op will be as I could plan better then. I’m still thinking of doing Kent Spring Marathon next week if I find out I can’t run London.
Sarah Marzaioli
Well done Sarah. I think this was the right move given the few days you’ve had. If you get the news that London isn’t possible, then by all means give the Kent Spring Marathon a go. I think you’re really well prepared for that one and can run a strong race, although I believe it’s a bit more challenging in terms of elevation than London, so the time might be effected. But that’s ok. Hopefully you get news soon of the operation and can plan ahead, keep me posted. Always here if you just want to chat about things as well ๐Ÿงก๐Ÿ–ค I catastrophize even the smallest things in my life so I know how it feels. It can be mentally draining at times.
