60 Mins Easy

LOAD: 18

60 Mins @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

Keep that RPE down. You want to be able to run and chat, speaking of which, joining a group can add to the enjoyment here.

The Friday crew!

😁 Good pace given the conditions/route

Nice run through the country park with Anna. I’ve definitely realised I need to up my game on these hills. I’ve been slacking this year as I knew rtts didn’t have massive elevation. I now have 1 month to make up for it 😬 Heading out with Anna again Tuesday instead of off road for more hills, she keeps telling me it’s all in the mind

I think it’s good to run some hills in training and it builds strength and I know Anna has a slightly different approach to most ultra runners in that she likes to run as much as possible, but to be honest, in that South Coast 100k Challenge, you’d be better off walking pretty much all the hills, if you try to run the early hills, you’re just going to be fucked for the 2nd half of the event. So it really is about conserving energy. So I wouldn’t beat yourself up too much. Nice that you both run together though, that makes me happy. Well done Stace.
