Didn’t go all in as I was trying not to get cramp in myblower legs, I done a couple hundred meters at a time then took a rest for a minute or two felt better in the pool than last time, so much technique involved which I don’t have.

The main goal here is just keep working the heart and get the blood flowing. So no worries about breaks etc. I’m not sure if you know Alice but she’s had about 3-4 months of a bad glute which has almost meant no speed sessions, but she’s kept up the swimming and lost almost zero fitness. Actually got close to a 5k PB not that long ago which was mental considering.
