60 Min Easy Run

LOAD: 150

60 Mins @ Easy Pace (RPE: 2-3)

Keep the effort level to around 3 or 4 on the RPE scale. Focus on good form and don’t get lazy. Often the best run of the week 😁

If you feel fresh Monday, and have some spare time, getting a run in early this week could be helpful with the race Sunday.

PACE

It was good to get out this morning for 60 mins easy run that I couldn’t make on Monday bring the bank holiday and busy. Kept this at a steady pace, still to fast looking at my splits but I included a long hill climb up sedlescombe road to junction road onto the ridge, managed it without stopping 😊 need to learn to slow down more on my easy runs. Hips and glutes felt a bit achy so a good stretch later again this evening.

Great work Michelle. Yeah possibly a little too quick. As I say the paces are just a guide. Sometimes ignoring the watch and just focusing on “running easy” is a good approach. It’s probably the hills where you really want to drop the pace to see if you can get up them without the heart rate creeping up too much. But that will come as your fitness improves. What you don’t want to do is slow down for the sake of it. If the pace feels easy, go with it.
