90 Min Long Run

LOAD: 240

90 Mins @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

Keep this nice and easy. Focus on good form & efficient running economy.

Running to and from Horntye makes such a difference to the training load, something worth considering in future in the summer months, if availability is limited. Have a great run.

There’s no way of me getting to horntye that doesn’t involve a huge hill in the first mile. Felt good to get a longer run out of the way midweek and enjoyed going out with Lindsays group although it is quite a quick on there are enough chances to stop. The slower to and from made my average pace drop quite a bit. I am very aware of my back and glute still which makes it tough to relax and switch off in a run. Mixed feelings about a potential bulging disc as I know it will mean hanging up my running shoes for a while, but glad that I might get to the bottom of what is actually going on after a year of rehabilitation and not seeing major improvement.

Well done Alice. 90 minutes banked here is excellent and good use of your time, as you probably don’t lose much running rather than driving to Horntye. Yes it would be a setback initially but you have to look long term with these things. Hopefully you can get to the bottom of it soon.
